Why Aren’t TikTok Stories Showing?
If the viewer does not return a Story, it does not always mean the tool is broken. Several common conditions can prevent a Story from appearing.
The User Has No Active Story
The creator may not have posted a Story recently, or their previous Story may already have expired.
The TikTok Account Is Private
Private-account content is available only to followers approved by the account owner. Our viewer does not bypass private account settings.
The Username Is Incorrect
Check the spelling and make sure you entered the current TikTok username. If it does not work, try the full profile URL.
The Story Was Deleted or Restricted
The creator may have removed the Story or limited its audience after publishing it.
TikTok Is Temporarily Unavailable

When you watch a Story while signed in through the TikTok app, the creator may be able to see your account in their Story viewer list. Turning off Profile View History does not necessarily hide Story views. Our web viewer does not require or connect to your personal TikTok account.
